the coat has room for winter layers without feeling too tight

Our temps right now are lows to about 30F and highs in the mid-40's. This coat is perfect and I can tell it would also keep me warm down to about 20F IF IF IF I was also wearing a hat, scarf, and gloves. It is roomy for my 40-inch hips! There is also room to wear a sweater underneath. I've worn it on very windy days and it seems to be windproof as well. If I could change two things (listen up Eddie Bauer!), it would be to make the hood removable and to shrink the neckline a little. As it is, it is really necessary to add a scarf. That said, I adore this coat and plan to take it to Tokyo from mid-January to mid-February, with a scarf of course!

Bought this coat for my daughter who is nearly 5'9" tall. She absolutely loves it. The fit is fantastic. She typically wears a size medium to large mostly because of her height.. so we went with a large to give her extra room for bulky sweaters underneath. Would highly recommend it.

Bought this coat for a trip because my mom has one and I knew it was compact, warm and light weight. It fits true to size and has ample room even with a heavier sweater or sweatshirt underneath. I keep me warm at the football game and I know I will wear it a lot at home.

It is packable and ligjtweight. It is great for chilly days. I'm going to get one in medium weight for colder days during winter.

Love the extra length in the arms with the tall sizing as well as the ability to unzip from the bottom. A perfect fit for cold weather travel.

I have this coat in 2 colors. Kept me warm in cold and snowy conditions in Idaho and Wyoming. What I love most is it packs easily into my carry on tote making it accessible.

This coat kept me warm while in Idaho at an outdoor family wedding. It is comfortable and can be dressy or not.

I like Eddie Bauer because they have tall sizes in outerwear. I have an older version of this coat which I love (black) and I was excited to get it in the greenish color. When I zipped it up, however, I noticed something funky going on with the hem near the zipper on both sides. It's like they used too short a zipper when making the coat and decided to sew a fold into the hem, just near the zipper, to compensate. I checked my old jacket and the hem at the zipper is straight, and not folded. I'm really bummed because it makes the front look way less polished. See picture: new hem in green, old hem in black.

Used very rarely but Stitching came undone on side and pocket within first few months after I bought it Didn't do anything to cause this

The quality of the jacket was cheap but the length was perfect on sleeves .

VERY VERY disappointed that EB mailed me leggings instead of the Parka. Reurned the shorts and giving up on the parka. Don't trust mailing order.
