We had an opportunity to sit down with our PR & Marketing Specialist, Aleah Appling, who shared a couple of her favorite styles this season. She also gave us a bit of insight into her work at Eddie Bauer and her life in the Pacific Northwest.
Tell us something interesting about your job that you wish more people knew about.
My work involves a lot of product knowledge! We have so much apparel at Eddie Bauer, and finding exactly what an editor might be interested in for a story—whether it involves testing innovative technical gear, sharing our coziest flannels, or highlighting our best down blankets to gift—can be overwhelming. But it’s so much fun to learn, and I love connecting editors with our experienced and passionate product team. We have so many amazing products!
What’s your favorite thing you wore on the shoot and why?
Our Twisp jacket is such a fun silhouette, and it’s so on trend with the fleece upper. I love throwing it over a casual outfit to run errands. It elevates any look with ease, and I feel warm all day! Better yet, it also comes in a vest version.
What’s your number one gift recommendation for women?
The women’s Chilali Vest! It comes in many fun colors that can brighten up any athleisure look, and it’s the perfect layer to throw on to enhance any outfit. I recommend it for anyone in your life who’s just a little obsessed with vests.
What’s your favorite way to enjoy time outdoors?
While I think of myself as being more “outside-y” than “outdoorsy”, I do love camping along the Pacific Northwest coast. Most people might prefer warm, sandy beaches, but I love going on winter strolls along rocky beaches while bundled in warm layers—and Washington is the perfect place for this!
