From his early slopestyle days at Schweitzer Mountain, ID, KC Deane was hooked on the global images he discovered in ski movies and ski magazines. He honed his freestyle skills on the competitive circuit, elevated to pro status in Lake Tahoe, and survived a major spinal injury to then shift focus to the deep snow of the backcountry. On this blank creative canvas, Deane has filmed freestyle-influenced, heavy-line ski segments for the Poor Boyz and Level 1 Productions movies, exhibited his multi-discipline skill in the 2012, 2013, and 2014 Skiers Cup, and shot frequently in stunning deep-powder locations with photographers Chris Burkard, Mattias Fredriksson, and Oskar Enander.

Deane helped Team Americas to victory in the 2012 and 2014 Swatch Skiers Cup. Landed on the covers of six major ski magazines in 2014, producing published shots in epic locations that ranged from Patagonia, Chile, Japan, and Switzerland to Mt. Baker’s Shuksan Arm and Whistler’s backcountry. He landed an impressive part in the Poor Boyz Productions film TWENTY then produced, directed and starred in his own award-winning film “Blank, The Movie.” the following year.  The last 3 years has filmed with Level 1 Productions creating video segments in their award-winning films.

In the summer season, he takes his big-air skill to the dirt as a professional mountain biker, where he was selected for the Red Bull Rampage in 2014, and Nine Knights. His riding has landed him in countless bike publications worldwide and in just a few years his riding has made him one of the only full time, dual sport professional athletes in the world.  But it is his own photographic eye that has elevated him above just the talent, earning him more than 75,000 followers on Instagram, where he provides a window into his global freeski and freeride migrations.
